Meet Dr. Dillard
Dr. Kristin Dillard has practiced as an Allergy and Immunology specialist in Houston since 2010. In 2019, Dr. Kristin Dillard set out to realize her life-long dream of starting her own practice, Memorial Allergy & Asthma.
Dr. Dillard completed her undergraduate education at Baylor University where she graduated first in her class with a Bachelor of Arts degree in the honors program, University Scholars. At Baylor, she was elected into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, and she was an active member of Mortar Board, Student Foundation, and Pi Beta Phi.
Dr. Dillard then obtained her Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.) from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and went on to complete internship and residency in Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children’s Hospital and Ben Taub Hospital, during which time she was selected to serve as chief resident. Following residency, Dr. Dillard completed a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children’s Hospital and Ben Taub Hospital, during which time she was selected to serve as chief fellow.
After fellowship, Dr. Dillard worked in private practice where she cared for the allergy and asthma needs of infants, children, and adults. In 2012, she joined the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine as an Assistant Professor in the section of Allergy and Immunology, during which time she cared for infants and children in an outpatient and inpatient setting and served as clinic chief for the Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus Allergy and Immunology Clinic. Dr. Dillard was also involved in resident and fellow education and instrumental in developing the food allergy dietary guidelines for the inpatient area of Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus. Outside of her lectures at Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Dillard has been an invited speaker for Houston Area Lactation Consultants, Texas Children’s Hospital Health Plan Grand Rounds, Houston West Chamber of Commerce, and local area schools. Over the years, Dr. Dillard has contributed to numerous publications and presentations at national meetings.
Dr. Kristin Dillard is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics. She holds the distinction of Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology. Her other society memberships include: Greater Houston Allergy Asthma and Immunology Society, Texas Allergy Asthma and Immunology Society, Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society, and Houston Academy of Medicine.
Dr. Dillard has had the honor of selection as a Texas Super Doctors® by the Texas Monthly magazine every year since 2019 and as a Texas Super Doctors® Rising Star by the Texas Monthly magazine from 2015 to 2017. She has also had the honor of selection as one of Houston’s Top Doctors by H Texas Magazine every year since 2017. In 2022 and 2023, she had the honor of being voted by readers as “Best Allergist” in Swoon Memorial Magazine’s “Best of Memorial.”
A native Texan, Dr. Dillard made Houston her home in 2004. She lives in the area with her husband, who is a native Houstonian, and their two beautiful children and playful dog. Her children attend Spring Branch ISD Schools where she is an active volunteer and has assisted in developing food allergy plans and has performed allergy and anaphylaxis training for teachers and staff. Dr. Dillard and her family are members of Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church. In her free time, Dr. Dillard enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, needlepointing, and reading.
